The Buckeyes opened as 13-point home favorites but the line has climbed to 14.5 according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The movement comes despite 72% of public bettors backing the underdog Spartans, which suggests some sharp play on Ohio State.
The road team has historically covered the spread in this matchup, going 6-1 against the number in the last seven meetings between these two teams. The underdog is also 4-0 at the betting window in the last four meetings between tehse two programs.
Michigan State is just 3-7 against the spread in its last 10 games overall while Ohio State is 1-5 ATS in its last six home games.
