Since their season-opening loss to Louisville, the Hurricanes beat Florida A&M 4-7 last week and then routed Arkansas State 41-20 last Saturday. Quarterback Brad Kaaya threw for 342 yards on 16-of-24 passes for four touchdowns and one interception while Duke Johnson rushed for 90 yards on 14 carries and a score in the win.
Nebraska improved to 3-0 on the year with a 55-19 win over Fresno State on the road last week. Running back Ameer Abdullah rushed for 110 yards on 19 carries with one touchdown while Tommy Armstrong Jr. completed 12-of-21 passes for 260 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Nebraska’s defense held Fresno State QB Brian Burrell to just 241 yards on 30-of-59 passing.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Nebraska is a 7.5-point favorite over Miami, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 55.5 points. The Cornhuskers opened as 8-point favorites before the line dropped down slightly, while the total opened at 61 before coming down significantly.
