SOUTH BEND, IN (ATS Consultants) – No. 22 Notre Dame gets its first home game on Saturday against Purdue at 3:30PM ET on NBC from Notre Dame Stadium.
Both teams enter this game at 1-0 overall and 1-0 against the spread. Notre Dame was just 5-8 against the spread in the 2011 season, which included a 3-3 record ATS at home. Purdue was 7-6 against the spread in 2011 and the Boilermakers were also 2-3 ATS on the road.
Odds: The oddsmakers have Notre Dame as the favorite in this game, giving them odds of -14 points against Purdue on Saturday. The over/under total has been set at 52 points.

Notre Dame routed Purdue last year, 38-10 laying 12.5 on the road. Notre Dame was very impressive in a 50-10 win over Navy in Ireland without their starting quarterback and running back. Purdue returns QB Caleb TerBush, who was suspended for their opener (48-6 win over Eastern Kentucky). But Robert Marve played well, throwing for 295 yards and three TDs (30-of-38). Notre Dame’s running game will be tough for Purdue to stop. The Boilermakers allowed 175 yards per game on the ground last season and will have issues again this year. Theo Reddick stepped in and ran for 107 yards and two TDs against Navy last week.
