Despite some key injuries (CB Tyrann Mathieu, LT Chris Faulk, LB Tahj Jones), LSU has shown why they are one of the top teams in the country. They have incredible depth as they showed that last week in a 41-3 win over Washington. Mathieu’s replacement was freshman CB Jalen Mills, who had seven tackles and a pick. Josh Dworaczyk stepped in at left tackle for Faulk. The Tigers rushed for 242 yards against Washington, and QB Zach Mettenberger was not sacked last week. The Vandals lost their first two games to FCS member Eastern Washington and MAC member Bowling Green. Not a good sign.
