COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE PICK: Oklahoma takes a rare road trip to a non-BCS school to open the season. Oklahoma certainly has the goods to be a great team with Landry Jones starting at QB. He is coming off a disappointing year as the Sooners lost three games last year when they were expected to make it all the way. This won’t be a walk in the park. UTEP has a pretty good team led by QB Nick Lamaison, who threw for 1,718yds and 12 TDs. They have a veteran offensive line that will be tested and productive receivers. The defense was poor last year but should benefit from the return of LB Jamie Irving, who missed last year with an injury. Oklahoma also has a few issues with suspensions.
