Injuries could play a big role in Week 8 of the 2010 College Football season as many top 25 teams have key players sitting out on Saturday.

After a disappointing loss last weekend, No. 19 South Carolina will likely be without running back Marcus Lattimore against Vanderbilt on Saturday. Lattimore injured his ankle last weekend in a loss to Kentucky. According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, South Carolina is a 12-point favorite on the road against the Commodores

2010 College Football Week 8 Injury Report (Top 25 Games Only)

Syracuse vs. No. 20 West Virginia – Noon ET

Syracuse guard Adam Rosner is questionable for Saturday with an upper body injury, as is linebacker Ryan Gillum. West Virginia has not injuries reported for this week.

Duke vs. No. 23 Virginia Tech – Noon ET

Duke has no injuries to report for this game while Virginia Tech expects Tyrod Taylor and running back Ryan Williams to both play on Saturday while tight end Eric Martin is questionable with a knee injury.

Purdue vs. No. 11 Ohio State – Noon ET

Ohio State may be without linebacker Dorian Bell on Saturday as he is questionable with a concussion while defensive back Christian Bryant is doubtful with an infection. For Purdue, defensive end Justin Kitchens is doubtful with a knee injury.

No. 8 Michigan State vs. Northwestern – Noon ET

Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins is listed as probable to play despite an ankle injury while cornerback Chris L. Rucker is suspended indefinitely for a DWI arrest earlier in the season. Northwestern’s lone injury to report in linebacker Roderick Goodlow, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Iowa State vs. No. 22 Texas – Noon ET

Texas receiver Gregory Timmons continues to miss action because of a neck injury suffered late last month while Iowa State receiver Darius Darks is questionable with a rib injury.

Mississippi vs. No. 21 Arkansas – 12:21PM ET

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett is listed as probable for Saturday’s game after suffering a concussion last week against Auburn. For Ole Miss, offensive lineman A.J. Hawkins is probable with a shoulder injury.

No. 10 Wisconsin vs. No. 13 Iowa – 3:30PM ET

Wisconsin linebacker Chris Borland is out for the season for Wisconsin with a shoulder injury while Iowa linebacker Jeff Tarpinian is questionable with a neck injury.

No. 14 Nebraska vs. No. 17 Oklahoma State – 3:30PM ET

Neither team has no new injuries as all players listed are out for the season and have been for multiple weeks.

No. 6 LSU vs. No. 5 Auburn – 3:30PM ET

LSU wide receiver Chris Tolliver is questionable for Saturday’s game with a concussion while Auburn receiver Deangelo Benton is questionable with an ankle injury.

Washington State vs. No. 12 Stanford – 5PM ET

Washington State offensive lineman Micah Hannam is questionable for Saturday with a concussion while linebacker Mike Ledgerwood is probable with a neck injury. Stanford has no major injuries to report.

Colorado State vs. No. 9 Utah – 6PM ET

Utah tight end Brad Clifford is doubtful to play on Saturday with a hand injury while linebacker J.J. Williams is questionable with a foot injury. Colorado State defensive end Broderick Sargent is questionable to play on Saturday with a concussion.

No. 19 South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt – 7PM ET

South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore is doubtful for the game with an ankle injury while receiver Alshon Jeffrey is considered probable with a thigh injury. Vanderbilt defensive tackle T.J. Greenstone is probable to play with an ankle injury.

No. 7 Alabama vs. Tennessee – 7PM ET

Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy is probable for Saturday while recovering from a hand injury while offensive lineman D.J. Fluker is questionable with a groin injury. Tennessee kicker Daniel Lincoln is questionable for the game with a quadriceps injury.

UAB vs. No. 24 Mississippi State – 7PM ET

Mississippi has no new injuries to report while UAB back David Isabelle is doubtful for Saturday’s game with a hand injury and offensive lineman Chris Hubbard is questionable wit a hand injury as well.

North Carolina vs. No. 25 Miami – 7:30PM ET

Aside from the suspensions, UNC also has receiver Brendon Felder and linebacker Quan Sturdivant are both questionable with respective injuries. Miami receiver Tommy Streeter is questionable with an upper body injury.

Air Force vs. No. 4 TCU – 8PM ET

TCU guard Blaize Foltz will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury while Air Force fullback Mike DeWitt and running back Jared Tew are both out indefinitely with leg injuries suffered last week against San Diego State.

No. 3 Oklahoma vs. No. 18 Missouri – 8PM ET

Oklahoma has no new injuries to report for this game while Missouri defensive end Aldon Smith is questionable with a leg injury.

Washington vs. No. 15 Arizona – 10:15PM ET

Arizona quarterback Nick Foles is out indefinitely with a knee injury, forcing Matt Scott to take over at quarterback. Washington receiver Devin Aguilar is questionable for Saturday’s game with a hip injury.
