Week 5 of the 2010 College Football Season is as big as any yet this fall and with a number of marquee games, we have four plays for Saturday.

Ohio State vs. Illinois, Noon ET
Illinois is a team that likes to run the ball, which it won’t be able to do against the Ohio State defense while the Buckeyes should be able to run at will against the Illini. With the spread less than three touchdowns, we pick Ohio State to cover with ease.

Virginia Tech vs. N.C. State, 3:30PM ET
N.C. State has had a great start but Virginia Tech has to win as all it has is the ACC title to play for this season. The Hokies will play with physicality that N.C. State has yet to see this season and the Wolf Pack will get exposed a little bit on Saturday. With the spread just over a field goal, we feel good about a pick of the Hokies to cover.

Nevada vs. UNLV, 10PM ET
Nevada may score every time it touches the ball and could score on every offensive play as it has carved up UNLV in the past. The Rebels will be unable to stop the Nevada running game and if they somehow did, the Wolf Pack have improved on their passing as well. The spread is less than three touchdowns and I see that as a gift. Pick Nevada to cover.

Florida vs. Alabama, 8PM ET
Florida has just not been the team we are accustomed to seeing while Alabama looks even better than it did last season. The Gators have a defense than can pose problems, but Alabama will find a way to run the ball effectively while dominating the Florida offense, which is still struggling. I say pick Alabama minus the points in this game.
