UTEP upsets Houston

Houston was a 16-point favorite on the road against UTEP on Saturday according to online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. The Cougars had 91 percent of the public bets but the Miners put up 581 yards of offense and forced two key turnovers on

Houston to end the unbeaten season for the Cougars. Not only was the game a big blow to Houston’s BCS chances, but this was a Conference USA game as well, putting Houston’s conference title hopes in jeopardy.

Miami bounces back, not BCS title for Sooners

After getting dominated a week ago by Virginia Tech,
Miami bounced back on Saturday with a 21-20 win over

Oklahoma. 60 percent of public bets went with the Sooners -7 points, but once again, Sam Bradford was unable to play, and the Sooners struggled to move the ball as Landry Jones threw for just 188 yards.

Miami took a 21-10 lead in the third quarter and then held off the Sooners to get the win.

LSU out-points Georgia

One of the most popular games for the betting public on Saturday was LSU at

Georgia. The Bulldogs were 3-point favorites at home but 53 percent of public bets went with LSU. The two teams traded the lead four times in the fourth quarter before the Tigers scored the final points on a 33-yard touchdown run by Charles Scott in the final minute of play.

Bearcats win, just not by enough

Cincinnati isn’t licking their wounds after a 37-13 win over Miami of Ohio on Saturday, but betters are. 87 percent of public bets when with the Bearcats -27 over the RedHawks. While

Cincinnati won, it was only by 24 points, costing the betting public.

Cincinnati only led 23-13 through three, but piled on a couple of fourth-quarter scores to win comfortably.
