NCAAFB Week 4 Picks

Week four of the 2009 College Football Season is filled with competitive matchups and our team of writers and handicappers have picked four games to consider this weekend.

Bet College Football Week 4

Miami
-3 at Virginia Tech, 3:30PM ET

The battle to two top-25 teams should be the most competitive game of Saturday’s schedule. Both teams are looking to establish themselves as the team to beat in the ACC in this game and ultimately, this game should come down to the fourth quarter. In any competitive game, the key will be the play of the quarterbacks. Jacory Harris has shown the poise and composure you look for in a championship quarterback while Tyrod Taylor is still fitting into the position for the Hokies. For that reason, we expect the Hurricanes to win and cover against the Hokies.

Washington
+7 at Stanford, 9PM ET

The Huskies could be do for a letdown performance against Stanford after its win over USC last weekend. But, event a letdown performance can be enough to beat the Cardinal, who has only beaten Washington State and

San Jose
State
. The Huskies’ lone loss was a competitive game against No. 7 LSU. Jake Locker has the Huskies playing the best they have in years and we expect the Huskies to not only cover, but win on Saturday.

Iowa +10 at

Penn
State
, 8PM ET

Penn
State
is looking for revenge against the Hawkeyes, but the Nittany Lions have underwhelmed so far this season, not covering the spread in all three of their games.
Iowa is by far the toughest challenge

Penn
State
has faced thus far and the Hawkeyes seem to be getting better each week.

Iowa
has won four of the last seven meetings and both defenses should keep the game low scoring, giving the Hawkeyes a chance to win and cover the spread.

Central Michigan -16 vs.

Akron
, 3:30PM ET

Akron
suspended its starting quarterback for the season and now backup Matt Rodgers is starting in his sophomore season. Last week, Rodgers threw four interceptions in his debut against

Indiana
. Rodgers is also leading the Zips in rushing after just a short time on the field and now he faces a
Central Michigan defense which ranks first in the Mid-American Conference in yards allowed and passing yards allowed. The Chippewas should be able to score their fair share of points with quarterback Dan LeFevour and the CMU defense should be able to keep

Akron
in check enough to cover the 16-point spread.
