Cobbs Transfers to Cal

Golden Bears coach Mike Montgomery announced Wednesday that Cobbs will join the program. Minnesota had earlier announced that Cobbs was leaving to be closer to his home in Los Angeles.
Cobbs played in 34 of 35 games as a freshman last season and averaged 2.1 points, 1.3 assists and 10.7 minutes. Cobbs will have to sit out one season as a transfer.
Montgomery says Cobbs will solidify the guard position for “years to come.”
