Mann wins it in OT
Terance Mann hit an off-balance shot with 1.8 seconds remaining in overtime Thursday evening to send Florida State to a thrilling 65-63 overtime victory over Virginia Tech. The Seminoles were outscored 32-30 in the second half, but proceeded to outscore the Hokies 9-7 in OT to secure the win. Devin Vassell paced FSU with 14 points off the bench on 5-of-10 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range. He also recorded two steals. Mann added 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Cavaliers ease past Wolfpack
Virginia earned 76-56 victory over North Carolina State to advance to the ACC Tournament semifinals. The Cavaliers (29-2) outscored the Wolfpack 49-27 in the second half after trailing by two at halftime. Kyle Guy paced Virginia with 29 points on 10-of-13 shooting including 7-of-9 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-3 at the free throw line. He also notched four rebounds and three assists. The Cavaliers shot 25-of-48 from the floor, 10-of-21 from 3-point distance plus 16-of-22 at the free throw line. Jack Salt contributed 18 points and six boards. De’Andre Hunter added 16 points, three rebounds and two assists.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Seminoles are 7-1-2 ATS in their last 10 neutral court games. Florida State is 3-0-1 ATS in its last four Friday games.
The Cavaliers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 Friday games. Virginia is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 neutral site games.
Florida State lost 65-52 on the road in the only meeting against Virginia this season, but that was all the way back on January 5. The Seminoles are one of the hottest teams in the ACC, only losing once in their last 14 games. With this spread being so wide and FSU having a fantastic defense plus a deep roster, I’m taking the underdogs here to stay within the number.
