Cardinals drop second straight
Ball State fell 78-74 Saturday at Ohio to drop to 11-9 overall and 2-5 in the Mid-American Conference. The Cardinals led 37-30 at halftime before unraveling after the break. Ball State shot 29-of-61 from the floor, 10-of-18 from 3-point range and 6-of-8 at the free throw line. Tayler Persons paced BSU with 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point distance. He also contributed five assists and three rebounds. Bulls take down Golden Flashes
Buffalo avoided a road upset Friday night at Kent State as it secured an 88-79 victory to move to 18-2 overall and 6-1 in the MAC. C.J. Massinburg led the Bulls with 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point distance plus 5-of-7 at the free throw line. Nick Perkins tallied 20 points, eight boards and three assists off the bench. Davonta Jordan had 12 points, four assists, three caroms and three steals. College Basketball Betting Trends
The Cardinals are 1-5 ATS in their last six Tuesday games. Ball State is 1-5 ATS in its last six games overall.
The Bulls are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games. Buffalo is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 MAC games.
Ball State was playing strong basketball earlier in the season, but has regressed the last few weeks. I can’t see the Cardinals hanging with a Buffalo squad that is returning home after a couple tough road environments. The last time the Bulls played a team in the range of where Ball State is talent-wise, they smoked Toledo at home by 30. Look for another big performance here.
