Arizona emering as title contender
TUCSON, AZ (TheSpread) – The Arizona Wildcats are off to a tremendous start. Are they a legit contender to win it all this season?
The Wildcats improved to 10-0 on the season on Saturday with a dominant 80-53 win over Michigan. The Wildcats have had all but two wins come by double figures this season and they are 5-5 against the spread.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Arizona now has 8/1 odds to win the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats opened the season with 16/1 odds. Kentucky is the only team currently with better odds to win it all.
Arizona reached the Elite Eight last season before bowing out of the tournament. The Wildcats haven’t won the national championship since 1997, when it made an improbable run to the title. Arizona’s last Final Four appearance came in 2001.
