The 2011 Final Four takes place from Reliant Stadium in Houston. The first game is VCU taking on Butler at 6:09PM ET and the second game features Kentucky taking on Connecticut at 8:49PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com Butler and Kentucky enter their games as 2.5-point favorites against their opponents.
There are plenty of Trends that stand out for Saturday’s games. First, the Final Four alone has some history to consider. In the Final Four the Big East teams have been 0-5 against the point spread odds in their last 5 games and No. 3 seeds are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Final Four contests. Teams that come into a Final Four having won back-to-back games as an underdog are 9-24 in their Final Four contests straight up.
When it comes to VCU vs. Butler, the Rams are 9-0 against the spread in their last 9 NCAA Tournament games and 11-4 ATS as an underdog this season. Butler is 9-0 ATS in all 9 tournament games they have played in this season. Butler coach Brad Stevens is 10-3 ATS in the NCAA Tournament while VCU coach Shaka Smart is 14-12 ATS in non-conference games.
For Kentucky and Connecticut, the Wildcats are 6-0 against the spread as a favorite when facing a team it loss to the same season while Connecticut is 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games on a neutral floor. The Huskies are also 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games as an underdog this season. Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun is 11-7 ATS against the SEC while Kentucky coach John Calipari is 17-3-1 ATS in games against the Big East.
