Raptors host weary Pistons
The Toronto Raptors look for their 11th straight win tonight as they host the Detroit Pistons, who are coming off a battle with the Cavs on Friday, at 6:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Raptors are favored at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Pistons. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 203.5 points.
The Raptors (31-15) are the hottest team in the NBA right now, riding a 10-game win streak in which Toronto has gone 8-2 against the spread. Tonight they host the Pistons (25-22), who are coming off a 114-106 loss at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. The Pistons are 25-21-1 against the spread for the season, but struggle on no days rest, going just 3-5-1 ATS. The Raptors aren’t exactly fresh, playing on 1 day of rest, but Toronto is 17-12 ATS when that happens.
These two have yet to meet this season, but Detroit has covered the spread in the last three encounters. However, the Pistons are just 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 10-13-1 ATS when playing on the road this season. The Raptors have made a run at the top seed in the East, getting to within 2 games of Cleveland entering Friday. A win over a weary Pistons’ team tonight could push them closer as the Cavs face the Spurs tonight as well.
