Pelicans vs. Grizzlies Prediction

The Pelicans have only won once in their last six games but they’ll have an opportunity to turn things around tonight against a banged-up Grizzlies squad at 8:00PM ET.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Grizzlies are 2.5-point home underdogs versus the Pelicans after New Orleans opened at -1.5. As for the total, the number has been bet up from 202.5 to 203.5.

Memphis is severely banged up. Forward Zach Randolph is doubtful with a sore knee while Mike Conley is considered out indefinitely due to a sore Achilles. Randolph has missed two games in a row and the Grizzles are running out of bodies because of it.

If Randolph is forced to sit out again, the Grizzlies are in trouble. They hung with the Cavs in a 106-103 loss at Cleveland but were crushed 116-96 by the Celtics in Boston on Wednesday night. The Pelicans couldn’t beat the Hornets on Wednesday despite a 40-point effort from Anthony Davis and a 38-point night by Jrue Holiday, but they should emerge victorious tonight.
