Is the East the Warriors’ kryptonite?

No rest, no problem? The Warriors have had little issue covering the spread playing on back-to-back nights but what has been a problem from a betting standpoint is the Eastern Conference.

Golden State beat Philadelphia 108-105 on Saturday afternoon but failed to cover as a 16.5-point road favorite. The Warriors will now turn around and play the Knicks tonight at 7:30PM ET in New York and according to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu Golden State is -10.5.

As previously mentioned, the Warriors have had little issue covering the spread playing on back-to-back days. They’re 9-2 against the number in those situations this season, winning by an average margin of 11.4 points in those 11 contests. The Spurs are the only team to have a better ATS record playing on back-to-back nights, covering in seven of their eight opportunities (87.5%).

Where Golden State has struggled ATS, however, is against Eastern Conference opponents. The Warriors are 2-8-1 against the number in their last 11 games versus the East and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games versus the Atlantic.

As for the Knicks, they’re 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games and have covered the spread in seven of their last nine games versus the Western Conference. They’re also 9-2 against the number in their last 11 games playing on one day of rest.
