With the first round of the 2010 Western Conference Playoffs complete, updated odds have been released on which team is likely to advance to the NBA Finals.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the L.A. Lakers a heavy 63/100 favorite to win the Western Conference. Other team odds have
San Antonio at 3/1,
Phoenix at 7/2, and

Utah at 13/2.

The Lakers are the top seed in the West and will face the fifth-seeded Jazz in the second round. The Lakers disposed of eighth-seeded

Oklahoma City 4-2 in the opening round. The Lakers won the series with defense, as it held the Thunder to under 40 percent shooting.
Utah is coming off a 4-2 series win over fourth-seeded

Denver. The Jazz were unbeaten at home in the series. During the season,
L.A. defeated

Utah in three of four meetings.

San Antonio enters the second round as the No. 7 seed. The Spurs defeated No. 2
Dallas in the opening round, 4-2, and will now face the No. 3 seed,

Phoenix.
San Antonio won three straight in the series against

Dallas to establish a 3-1 series lead that the Mavericks couldn’t bounce back from. The Suns are coming off a 4-2 series win over

Portland.

Phoenix won the final two games of the series after it was tied 2-2.

Phoenix posted at least 99 points in all their victories. During the season series,
Phoenix defeated

San Antonio two times out of three games. The winner scored at least 110 points in all three games.
