NBA No. 6 Pick Odds
The sixth pick in the 2010 NBA Draft belongs to the Golden State Warriors and they will make their selection Thursday night.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have given DeMarcus Cousins of even odds to become the No. 6 pick while Georgetown’s Greg Monroe has a line of +150, Al-Farouq Aminu of Wake Forest has a line of +500 and Nevada’s Luke Babbitt has a money line of +450.
The Warriors have a lot of talent in the back court with last year’s draft pick, Stephen Curry. Look for Golden State to focus on the front court this year and jump on Cousins or Monroe, which ever one is still available.
Cousins was one of the freshman studs at Kentucky this year. The 6-11, 270-pound monster averaged 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds for the Wildcats on the season. Cousins shot 55.8 percent from the field and his size makes him a promising pro prospect but his reputation for being a slacker could hurt his draft stock
Monroe played two seasons at Georgetown and in his final year he averaged 16.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per-game while also adding 3.8 assists and 1.5 blocks. The 6-11, 247-pound center has a lot of length and a solid inside game. He shot 54.7 percent from the field while at Georgetown, but his size could be an issue in terms of mass.
Aminu played two seasons with Wake Forest and last season the 6-9, 215-pound forward averaged 15.8 points and 10.7 rebounds for the Demon Deacons. His shooting percentage was just 44.7 and he also averaged 3.2 turnovers per-game.
Babbitt, a 6-9, 225-pound forward played two seasons for the Wolfpack and averaged 19.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per-game in his last season. Babbitt shot 50 percent from the field and 91.7 percent from the free throw line.
