The Minnesota Timberwolves hold the No. 4 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and they have plenty of options to go with for this pick.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have given Wes Johnson of Syracuse a money line of -175 to become the No. 4 pick while Georgia Tech’s Derrick Favors has a line of +200, DeMarcus Cousins of Kentucky has a line of +500 and Greg Monroe of Georgetown has a line of +800.

Minnesota needs a lot of help, but they have some good work inside. There is talk of a potential trade at this point, but many believe that Minnesota will keep this pick and opt for Johnson. Favors could be an option, but he is likely off the board at this point.

Johnson played one season for Syracuse after transferring from Iowa State, where he played two seasons. Johnson averaged 13.9 points and 7.1 rebounds last season. He was a 45 percent shooter from the field. The 6-foot-7 forward has length, but not a lot of mass at 205 pounds.

Favors played one season at Georgia Tech and the power forward averaged 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per-game on the season. Favors shot an impressive 61.1 percent from the field and his 6-foot-10, 246-pound frame gives him a lot of athleticism and power.

Cousins was one of the freshman studs at Kentucky this year. The 6-11, 270-pound monster averaged 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds for the Wildcats on the season. Cousins shot 55.8 percent from the field and his size makes him a promising pro prospect but his reputation for being a slacker may cause him to slip in the draft. Reports also indicate that Cousins wouldn’t workout with Minnesota, so that hurts his chances in this pick.

Monroe played two seasons at Georgetown and in his final year he averaged 16.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per-game while also adding 3.8 assists and 1.5 blocks. The 6-11, 247-pound center has a lot of length and a solid inside game. He shot 54.7 percent from the field while at Georgetown, but his size could be an issue in terms of mass.
