Duck Commander 500 Picks
FORT WORTH, TX (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The Duck Commander 500 will take place on Sunday at 3:16PM ET. Here is a look at the drivers to consider for this NASCAR Sprint Cup race.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Jimmies Johnson is the favorite to win the race, as he has 5/1 odds. Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski each have 7/1 odds to win.
Here are our predictions for this weekend’s race.
Busch is a former winner at Texas and has an average finish of 14.0 at this track. His driver rating at Texas is 101.6, which is fourth amongst current drivers. Busch is always a contender to win if his car stays out of trouble and today should be no different. Busch didn’t qualify that well, as he will start 29th, but he knows how to get to the front quickly.
Dale Jr. is starting 19th on Sunday. He is the current points leader and is leading the series with four top 5s in six races. Junior has one win at Texas with an average finish of 13.7 and a driver rating of 93.8 at the track. This seems to be a good year for Earnhardt Jr. He is a fuel check away from already having two wins and he is finding his way to the lead pack late in races. He is a stronger play now than he has been in some time.
Live Long Shot
Dillon will start 20th on Sunday. Dillon is ninth in the current standings. He has just one top 10, but has five top 20s. He is right in the mix in most races and just needs that right strategy to find himself up front late. Dillon finished second at this track in 2011 and third in 2010. He has the consistency of this season to have a shot and the previous history at Texas to find a way to get a big win.
