Minnesota Twins DFS SPIN
Matt Wallner homered in the Twins’ loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday. The 25-year-old fringe prospect has been solid in his 26 MLB games this season, hitting .265/.383/.574 with six home runs and 12 RBI. The home run was 431-feet and came off of his bat at 110.3 mph which shows you what kind of raw power Wallner possesses. He also has a strikeout rate that is pushing 30 percent. Still, he’s been getting every day at-bats as Joey Gallo shifts to 1B to cover for the injured Alex Kirilloff, so Wallner is worth rostering in most deep leagues if you need power.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Lars Nootbaar went 2-for-4 with a home run in Wednesday’s 7-3 win over the Twins. Nootbaar is finding his stroke of late, coming into this game hitting .339/.452/.627 with five home runs in 17 second-half games. He had only five home runs in the entirety of the first half of the season. What’s more, Nootbaar has a 17.8 percent walk rate in the second half to just a 16.8 percent strikeout rate as he shows an advanced feel for the strike zone. He needs to be rostered in all leagues while he’s seeing the ball this well.

Twins vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Gray is 4-4 with a 3.22 ERA and despite not recording a victory since April, he has produced a quality start nine times this season. Hestruck out nine batters and walked only one in 12 innings over his past two starts and while he’s 2-5 with a 5.74 ERA in nine career starts against the Cardinals, I’m willing to overlook those numbers considering St. Louis stinks this season (normally they’re good). Liberatore, meanwhile, will get yet another chance to prove that he can stick at the big-league level. He’s the quintessential “Four-A” pitcher in that he’s good in Triple-A, yet has yet to figure it out at the big-league level. Give me the Twins.
