Blue Jays vs. Red Sox Prediction

All of a sudden the offenses for the Blue Jays and the Red Sox are playing under for bettors. Will that trend continue today in Boston when the rivals meet again at 1:35PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Blue Jays are -125 money line favorites versus the Red Sox, who have odds of +105 to pull off the small upset at home. With Aaron Sanchez set to face Steven Wright in the pitching matchup, the over/under sits at 9 runs.

David Price allowed just two runs over seven innings while strikeout nine in the Red Sox’ 4-2 victory over these same Blue Jays on Saturday. Travis Shaw also continues to swing a hot bat, going 2-for-4 with an RBI single in the victory. Shaw has now hit safely in eight of his 10 games.

Jose Bautista was good in the loss, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored while Marco Estrada was solid outside of a four-run third inning. He pitched six frames in the loss, allowing eight hits and a walk while striking out three on the day.

OUR PREDICTION: Keep riding the under, which has now cashed in three of Toronto and Boston’s last three games respectively. The under is also 5-1 in the Blue Jays’ last six games overall and 4-0-1 in their last five road games. On the other side, the under is 9-2 in the Red Sox’ last 11 home games and 6-2 in their last eight home games when they face a right-handed starter.
