Rangers vs. Angels Prediction

The Angels are one of the hotter teams in baseball, but will the Rangers halt the Halos’ win streak at four with a win tonight at 10:05PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Angels are -115 money line favorites over the Rangers, who have odds of +105 to pull off the upset. With Kyle Lohse set to face Tim Lincecum in the pitching matchup, the over/under for tonight sits at 9.5 runs, up from the original total of 9.

Bet Tonight’s Rangers vs. Angels Game

TEXAS: The Rangers are in the midst of a nasty funk. They’ve dropped four of their last five road games and are just 1-5 in their last six games overall. They’re also 2-9 in their last 11 games versus a right-handed starter and have lot five of six on the road versus a team with a losing record.

LOS ANGELES: The Angels might have a losing record but they’re hot, winners of four in a row and six of seven when coming off a win. They’re also 4-0 in their last four home games versus a right-handed starter and are 6-2 in their last eight games when the opposing starter has a WHIP greater than 1.30.

OUR PICK: Take the Angels, who should overcome Lincecum’s potential struggles and out-slug their AL West counterparts. The Angels are 5-1 in their last six games after scoring five runs or more in their previous contest, as they did last night when they beat the Rangers 9-5 after falling behind 4-0. Texas is also 0-5 in its last five games after scoring five runs in its previous game and s 1-7 in its last eight road games versus a right-handed starter.
