San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Padres manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Sunday that Mike Clevinger will start in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Dodgers on Tuesday. The right-hander hasn’t pitched since October 3, when he allowed one run on three hits over six innings in a victory over the White Sox. He was scratched from his final regular-season start — and ultimately landed on the injured list — due to illness. Presumably, Sean Manaea would work in Game 2 on Wednesday unless the Padres opt to bring back Yu Darvish on only four-days rest.

Julio Urías will start NLDS Game 1 for the Dodgers on Tuesday against the Padres. Probably an easy call here for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts after Urías worked to a tremendous 17-7 record, 2.16 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 166/41 K/BB ratio over 175 innings (31 starts) during the regular season. He is likely to finish top-three in the 2022 NL Cy Young Award balloting. Clayton Kershaw is lined to handle Game 2 in the best-of-five series versus San Diego. The plan for Game 3 is to be determined.
