RAYS KEY TRENDS: The Rays are 2-8 in Cobb’s last 10 road starts, are 1-4 in their last five games overall, and are 1-4 in their last five games against American League East rivals. They’re also just 17-37 in their last 54 road games and have dropped 20 of 28 games when facing a left-handed starter.

RED SOX KEY TRENDS: The Red Sox are 0-4 in their last four games coming off a win, which speaks to their inconsistency to start the season. They’re also 3-7 in their last 10 games against American League East rivals and have dropped four of Pomeranz’s last five games following a quality start in his last appearance.

Bet Today’s Rays vs. Red Sox Game

OUR PICK: Pomeranz threw six innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and striking out six while walking one Oriole in a victory on Tuesday. He said he wasn’t feeling any significantly negative after-effects following the win but did admit he was sore. He’s coming off a forearm issue but appears to be okay. The Rays are 2-5 in Cobb’s last seven starts against the Red Sox, are 2-6 in their last eight games in Boston and are 1-5 in their last six games overall versus the Sox. Boston should be a good bet today.
