Red Sox vs. Cardinals Prediction

Despite a good pitching matchup, will the over cash again when the Cardinals host the Red Sox tonight at 8:15PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinals and Red Sox both have money line odds of -110, respectively, to win tonight’s game at Busch Stadium. With Rick Porcello set to face Mike Leake in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.

Porcello punched out seven on the night and didn’t walk a batter. The big blow against him was a two-run homer by Evan Longoria, capping off a four-run uprising in the fifth inning. He hasn’t been able to replicate his Cy Young Award performance from a season ago, going 2-5 with a 4.01 ERA and 1.34 WHIP through his first eight starts. (Rotogrinders)

Leake took his second loss after giving up two runs in six innings Friday against the Cubs. Leake is a perfect 7-for-7 in quality starts, which is a big change from last year. He opened last season 0-3 with a 6.03 ERA in his first six starts. (Rotoworld)
