PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION

As of this writing, 82% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Astros to beat the Padres on the moneyline. Meanwhile, 55% of the betting tickets are on the under.

OUR PREDICTION:

The Padres can’t hit, which is one of the reasons why the under is catching odds of -120 but I still see value in the over. Perdomo struck out seven in his debut last Saturday but he also allowed five runs on seven hits and surrendered four walks in four ineffective innings. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams, is 9-2-1 in McCullers Jr.’s last 12 starts dating back to last year, and is 5-2 in Perdomo’s last seven road starts.

FRIDAY MLB PREDICTION: PADRES/ASTROS OVER 8.5
