Lindor has four-hit night

Francisco Lindor went 4-for-5 and scored two runs last night in an 8-1 home win over the Twins. Michael Brantley ended the night 3-for-5 with a run scored. Jose Ramirez finished 2-for-4 with a double, a run and three RBIs. Edwin Encarnacion was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Jason Kipnis finished 2-for-3 with a walk and a run. Greg Allen drove in two runs and scored once in four plate appearances. Carlos Carrasco threw 7 2/3 shutout innings with four hits allowed, 11 strikeouts and two walks.

Cave homers for lone run

Jake Cave hit a solo home run in four at-bats to account for the only run in Minnesota’s loss Tuesday. Joe Mauer finished 2-for 4 with a double. Miguel Sano walked twice in four plate appearances. Kyle Gibson suffered the loss as he allowed five earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and three walks over 5 1/3 innings.

MLB Betting Trends

Minnesota

The Twins are 4-10 in their last 14 Wednesday games. Minnesota is 19-39 in its last 58 road games.

Cleveland

The Indians are 22-5 in their last 27 Wednesday games. The under is 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings.

Prediction:

Stewart didn’t even really wow in the minors this season, so asking him to shut down a loaded Cleveland lineup on the road is too much too ask. But I would also expect the Twins to touch up Plutko some as he hasn’t fooled many batters at the MLB level this season. Go with the over here as both teams should score their fair share.
