Astros vs. Red Sox Prediction

In a battle of aces tonight at 7:10PM ET, will the Astros or Red Sox win in Boston when the two teams clash at Fenway?

Dallas Keuchel is off to a rough start in 2016, posting a 2-4 record with a 4.70 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP over seven outings. Opponents are batting .282 off him and he hasn’t won a start since shutting out the Tigers over eight innings back on April 15.

Bet Tonight’s Astros vs. Red Sox Game

As for David Price, he’s 4-1 with a 6.75 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP over seven starts and 41.1 innings pitched. In his last outing, he went just 4 2/3 innings allowing six runs on seven hits in an 8-2 loss to the Yankees. He’s picking up wins, but his ERA has ballooned to over a 6.0 in his last two starts.

Despite Price’s issues, oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI currently list the Red Sox as -150 money line favorites to win tonight’s game over the Astros. Houston, meanwhile, is a +135 money line underdog to pull off the upset tonight in Boston.

OUR PREDICTION: The Astros are 0-4 in Keuchel’s last four starts and 5-11 in his last 16 road starts. They’re also 3-13 in their last 16 games coming off a win, 1-7 in their last eight games versus a lefty, and are 1-4 in their last five games versus American League East opponents.

The Red Sox, meanwhile, are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games and are 6-0 in their last six home games. They’re 4-0 in their last four contests versus American League West opponents and are 6-0 in their last six home games versus a team with a losing record.

There’s not much value at -150 but I like Price at home over Keuchel on the road, where he’s got a 5.84 ERA in four games pitched.

THURSDAY MLB PREDICTION: BOSTON RED SOX -150
