According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the A’s are -140 money line favorites versus the White Sox, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset on the road. As for the total, the number currently sits at 7 runs.

Carlos Rodon will draw his first start of the season for the WHite Sox. The 23-year-old gave up a pair of home runs on March 27 against the Reds when he allowed nine runs in just 4 1/3 innings of work. His ERA climbed to 7.98 for the spring, but the good news is he walked just four in 14 2/3 innings.

Despite suffering an illness, Sonny Gray will make his season debut for the A’s. He was scratched from his Opening Day start on Monday after coming down with a bout of food poisoning but he’s ready to go tonight.
The under is 5-1-1 in Rodon’s last seven starts dating back to last season and is 6-1 in his last seven starts versus the AL West. The under is also 6-2-2 in Gray’s last 10 starts versus a team with a winning record.
