The race for the American League Championship looks to be pretty competitive. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the pennant.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Texas Rangers are the current ALCS favorite at 5/2 to win. Other short odds to win are Cleveland Indians (7/2), while the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox each have 7/1 odds.
The Rangers are 54-36 right now, which is the top record in the AL. They have a 5.5-game lead in the AL West. Texas last won the ALCS in 2011.
The Indians are 52-36 on the season and have a 6.5-game lead in the AL Central right now. They have the top run differential in the AL at +81. Cleveland last won the pennant in 1997.

Baltimore is 51-36 right now, which is tops in the AL East by two games. They have an impressive 33-14 home record. The Orioles last won the AL Pennant in 1983.
Toronto is 51-40 overall, two games behind Baltimore in the East. The Jays have a +75 run differential. The Jays last won the AL Pennant in 1993.
Boston is 49-38 on the season, also two games behind Baltimore. The Sox have put up 490 runs this year, which is most in the majors. The Sox last won the AL Pennant in 2013.
