The Rangers have the home-field advantage in the AL with a 95-67 record. Texas was 53-28 at home and 42-39 on the road this season. They had just a +8 run differential despite the top record.

Boston is the third seed in the AL at 93-69, but won the AL East. They were 47-34 at home and 46-35 on the road while putting up an impressive +184 run differential in 2016. That number was tops in the AL and second in the Majors.
