Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Philadelphia Phillies the favorites to win the World Series with 3/2 odds. Other short odds to win are the New York Yankees (5/2), and the Tampa Bay Rays (3/1).

The Phillies have the No. 1 seed in the National League as they went 97-65, winning the NL East Division.  The Phillies have more wins than any team this season and in the event of making the World Series, they would have the home-field advantage. The Phillies are 52-29 at home this season and will open the playoffs against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Yankees earned the AL Wild Card spot at 95-67. They fell short of winning the AL East by 1 game against Tampa Bay. New York will have to open the playoffs at Minnesota. The Yankees are 43-38 on the road this year and 52-29 at home. The Yankees won just 3 of their final 10 games.

The Rays won the AL East this year and have the top spot in the American League playoffs. Tampa Bay is 96-66 on the season and 49-32 at home while going 47-34 on the road. The Rays will begin the playoffs against Texas.
