Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Mike Zunino went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 12-7 loss to the Marlins. The two-run blast came in the second inning off Marlins starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez before he left with right bicep inflammation. Zunino crushed a fastball 397 feet after a controversial call that probably should have been strike three to the Rays catcher. Fortunately for Zunino and his fantasy shareholders, the umpire made the wrong call resulting in the home run. The 30-year-old is an all-or-nothing option in fantasy that is best left as a last resort in two-catcher formats.
Boston Red Sox DFS SPIN
J.D. Martinez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Sunday in the Red Sox’ blowout loss to the Orioles. Martinez supplied virtually all of the Red Sox' offensive output in the three-game series sweep. The 33-year-old veteran slugger belted a solo homer off Orioles’ lefty Bruce Zimmerman in the fourth inning and also drilled an RBI double in the sixth inning. He finished the season-opening series with a whopping six hits in 12 plate appearances and appears poised for a massive rebound campaign after last year’s disappointing offensive performance.
Rays vs. Red Sox Betting Prediction
