SAO PAULO, Brazil (The Spread) – The UFC middleweight division will get a little clearer tonight when Lyoto Machida and C.B. Dollaway face off in the main event of UFC Fight Night.

Machida (21-5) will be fighting in his home country against Dollaway (15-5) who is taking on the biggest challenge of his career. Dollaway has won his last two fights, but is taking a big step up in competition and fighting in his first five-round fight in the UFC. Machida is coming off a loss in a title fight, but is still largely considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in MMA.
The latest odds according to oddsmakers at BetDSI have Machida as the clear favorite to win tonight, as he has odds of -700 to prevail. Dollaway has been given odds of +450 to win. This fight will air on Fox Sports 1 with the main card starting at 10PM ET.
If this was a three-round fight, I would say Dollaway has a chance for an upset. His wrestling skills should allow him to score a few takedowns throughout the fight, giving him a chance to steal a round or two. However, this fight is 25 minutes and Machida doesn’t need much to score a finishing blow with his feet or hands. At some point over the five rounds, he will connect with a big strike to Dollaway and score the TKO victory. Dollaway is in too deep tonight with a man fighting in his home country.
