Women’s 100m Dash Pick
Who will be the fastest woman at the 2016 Summer Olympics? Here is our pick for tonight’s Women’s 100-meter Dash.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dafne Schippers is favored to win this race, as she has +165 odds. Other short odds to win are Elaine Thompson (+200), Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce (+335) and Tori Bowie (+600). The 100-meter dash is set to take place tonight at 9:37PM from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Schippers competes for the Netherlands. She has since finished second at the 2015 World Championships in the event.
Thompson competes for Jamaica. She has yet to medal in this event on the World stage, but was part of the winning 4×100-meter relay team at the 2015 World Championships. Pryce competes for Jamaica. She has won the gold medal in this event in the last two Olympic Games. She also is the 2013 and 2015 World Champion in the 100-meter dash.
Bowie competes for the United States. She is competing in her first Olympic Games. She placed third at the 2015 World Championships.
It’s hard to ignore Pryce right now. She has come through on the big stage for many years. Schippers certainly has been fast, but Pryce been her by nearly half a second at the 2015 World Championships. Given that Pryce has some longer odds, I feel like there is some value in her to come through tonight and win you a little more money.
