The NASCAR Cup Series returns to the Charlotte Motor Speedway oval on Sunday, October 11, 2026, for the Bank of America 400. It is the first fall Cup race on the 1.5-mile quad-oval since 2017, after the ROVAL road course held this date for eight seasons. Green flag is set for 3 p.m. ET on USA Network. This is race 32 of 36 and the sixth of 10 Chase races. Rain washed out Saturday practice and qualifying, so NASCAR set the starting lineup by rule-book formula. Our five picks are below.

2026 Bank of America 400 Betting Preview
Sunday’s race covers 267 laps and 400.5 miles on a quad-oval banked 24 degrees in the corners. Stage 1 ends on lap 80 and Stage 2 on lap 165, leaving a 102-lap final run. That is a long closing stage at a track where clean air matters, so the last pit call carries weight. The Chase format sharpens it. There are no elimination rounds in 2026, so 16 drivers accumulate points across 10 races and no deficit gets wiped clean. Kyle Larson leads, Denny Hamlin is 40 back and Christopher Bell 55. Larson starts first, Chase Briscoe second, Tyler Reddick third, Ryan Blaney fourth and Austin Cindric fifth. Hamlin rolls off 12th and Bell 17th.
The board has moved since it opened Wednesday. Reddick has shortened from +900 to +850, Blaney from +1400 to +1200 and William Byron from +1600 to +1400. The top of the market eased the other way, with Larson drifting from +450 to +500, Bell from +500 to +550 and Briscoe from +650 to +700. The one confirmed event between those snapshots is Saturday’s washout, which set the grid without a competitive lap and handed Reddick, Blaney and Byron top-six spots while Bell drew 17th. Pre-race inspection could still move prices.

2026 Bank of America 400 Best Bets
Tyler Reddick (+850) is our pick to win. No driver here reads better at Charlotte. Reddick owns a 9.5 average finish in eight starts on the oval, the best mark of any Chase driver entered. He also led a race-high 119 laps in May’s Coca-Cola 600 at this track before finishing fourth, so the 23XI Toyota already had winning speed on this surface. He arrives off a third at Las Vegas, another 1.5-mile oval, and the formula grid put him third.
Taking Reddick over the +500 pair is deliberate. Larson leads the points and starts up front, but his Las Vegas runner-up came after a 26-second pit stop and a final-lap brush with the wall. Hamlin has 35 Charlotte starts and one win here, and he starts 12th after losing ground in each of the last two races.
Here is what makes the call wrong. Reddick has never won at Charlotte, and leading 119 laps in May only to finish fourth is the pattern that follows him. He also sits 106 points back, so a strategy aimed at points rather than the win would undercut this ticket.
Bank of America 400 Predictions Mid-Tier Value Plays
Austin Cindric (+2200) looks underpriced. He finished fourth at Las Vegas after running second in Stage 2, and that followed a runner-up at Kansas. Team Penske has been the strongest organization on 1.5-mile tracks through this Chase, and Cindric starts fifth. At roughly 4.3 percent implied probability, the price treats him as a flier while the grid treats him as a contender. The case against: he is 128 points back and has not led meaningful laps here.
Hendrick Motorsports (+275) is our play in the Winning Team market, and it beats backing any single Hendrick car. Three of the team’s four entries start inside the top nine, with Larson on the front row, Byron sixth and Chase Elliott ninth. Larson alone is +500, so covering the stable at +275 buys more win equity than the individual tickets. The counterargument is that Joe Gibbs Racing is shorter at +125 for good reason, and without practice all four Hendrick cars could miss together.
Long Shot Picks for The 2026 Bank of America 400
Daniel Suarez (+6600) won the most recent Cup race on this oval. Suarez took May’s Coca-Cola 600 in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet for his third career win, and a 102-lap final stage gives that strategy group room to work again. The honest reading is that the win came on a two-tire call during a lightning caution, and he led only the final 17 laps of a rain-shortened race. This one needs cautions.
Brad Keselowski (+6600) has won twice at Charlotte, in the 2013 fall race and the 2020 Coca-Cola 600, and he still holds the track’s 500-mile race record at 158.308 mph. That is the best Charlotte résumé of anyone priced this long. He is also racing without a 2027 seat settled after his split with RFK Racing. The problem is production: 36 Cup wins, but only one since 2020.
The Last Word on the 2026 Bank of America 400
Our card leans on track position and venue history rather than the top of the board. Watch the first 80 laps. With no practice, the running order at the Stage 1 break shows which teams guessed right on setup. From there the 102-lap final stage decides it. Teams willing to stretch fuel or gamble on two tires can leapfrog faster cars, which is how Suarez won here in May. If the race runs green late, the front row keeps its edge. If cautions come, the middle of our card gets live.
