DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -Drake guard Josh Young, the leading scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference, is out indefinitely with a sprained right ankle.
Young is averaging 16.3 points per game and has keyed Drake’s 13-1 start, the best in school history. The sophomore injured his ankle Wednesday night early in the second half of Drake’s 75-50 win over Indiana State and did not return.
Drake has won 12 straight and is 4-0 in the Valley for the first time since 1970. The Bulldogs are tied with Illinois State atop the conference standings.
