He is not expected to play this week either, which means Drew Stanton will start again. Stanton was 14 of 29 passing last week for 167 yards. Andre Ellington rushed for 91 yards while Jonathan Dwyer added 31 yards. Dwyer has since been barred from the team following a domestic abuse incident. Calais Campbell led the Arizona defense last Sunday with 10 tackles, one sack and three tackles for loss.
San Francisco is coming off a surprising 28-20 loss at home to the Chicago Bears. San Francisco jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first half, then fell apart. The 49ers had four turnovers in the game, which allowed Chicago to win with only 216 yards of offense. Colin Kaepernick was 21 of 34 passing for 248 yards and one touchdown, but was responsible for all four turnovers. Michael Crabtree had seven receptions for 82 yards to lead the offense while Patrick Willis had a team-high eight tackles.
In terms of Injuries, Arizona linebacker John Abraham (concussion) and defensive end Frostee Rucker (calf) are both questionable. San Francisco tight end Vernon Davis (ankle) and tackle Anthony Davis (hamstring) are both questionable as well.
