Earnhardt Jr. wins again
LONG POND, PA (TheSpread) – Dale Earnhardt Jr. proved his is a championship contender on Sunday, winning the GoBowling.com 400 for his third win of the 2014 season.
The race came down to a late restart with three laps to go. Earnhardt Jr., who had been running near the lead most of the race, had the lead to start the restart and he held off Kevin Harvick over the final three laps to get the win.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Earnhardt Jr. had 8/1 odds to win this race coming into the week, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $8,000.
Earnhardt Jr. is now tied with Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski for the most wins this season at 3. Dale Jr. is now 17 points behind Jeff Gordon for first in the standings. Gordon finished sixth on Sunday.
