Tuesday’s March Madness Odds
(TheSpread) β The 2012 NCAA Tournament kicks off on Tuesday with the beginning of the First Four. Here is a look at the odds for the first two games of the tournament.

The premiere game of Tuesday night has a pair of No. 14 seeds squaring off from the University of Dayton Arena, as BYU takes on Iona at 9PM ET (View Matchup). Oddsmakers see the Cougars as the favorite in this game, as they have a point spread of -2 against Iona, while the over/under total has been set at 162 points. BYU is 25-8 on the season and 4-2 on a neutral floor while Iona is 25-7 overall and 4-1 on a neutral court. BYU is 14-15 against the spread while Iona is 13-15-2 ATS this season. These two have no previous meetings, but Iona has covered the spread in two of its last three while BYU has failed to cover in its last four games.
The other First Four game on Tuesday night has a pair of 16 seeds in Western Kentucky and Mississippi Valley State facing off at 6:30PM ET (View Matchup) at Dayton Arena. Oddsmakers have Western Kentucky as a 4.5-point favorite against Mississippi Valley State while the over/under total has been set at 137.5 points. Western Kentucky is 15-18 on the season and 4-3 on a neutral floor while Mississippi Valley State is 21-12 on the season and 4-1 on a neutral floor. The Hilltoppers are 18-14 against the spread this season while the Delta Devils are 2-6 ATS. These two met back in 1997 on two occasions with Western Kentucky winning both meetings.
