This 8 team tournament will be contested over three days, starting on Thursday and running through Saturday. It is a standard, single-elimination tournament that will be played from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
According to oddsmakers, New Mexico is the favorite to win this tournament with 5/4 odds to win. Other short odds to win are UNLV (8/5) and San Diego State (6/1).
New Mexico is the No. 2 seed after splitting the regular season title with San Diego State. The Lobos were 10-4 in the Mountain West and 24-6 overall. New Mexico won this championship back in 2005.
UNLV is the No. 3 seed. The Rebels went 9-5 in conference play and 25-7 overall. UNLV has won this tournament three times in its history, with the last coming in 2008.
San Diego State will be the No. 1 seed. The Aztecs are 10-4 in conference play and 24-6 overall. San Diego State has won this tournament four times, including the last two.
