This 12 team tournament gets started on Thursday and will run through Sunday. The top four seeds in the tournament will automatically advance to the quarterfinals. The tournament will be played from the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to oddsmakers, Kentucky is the favorite to win this tournament with 4/11 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Florida (11/2) and Vanderbilt (6/1).
Kentucky is 30-1 on the season and 16-0 in SEC play. The Wildcats have the top seed in this tournament. The Wildcats have won 27 SEC Tournament’s, 21 more than any other team in the SEC.
Florida is the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Gators are 22-9 overall and finished 10-6 in SEC play. The Gators have won this tournament three times, with the last coming in 2007.
Vanderbilt is the No. 3 seed in this tournament. The Commodores are 21-10 overall and 10-6 in SEC play. Vanderbilt has one tournament title to its credit, but that came way back in 1951.
