Kenseth vs. Johnson GEICO Odds
JOLIET, IL (TheSpread) – Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson are among the contenders to win Sunday’s GEICO 400, but which driver will best the other in this NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday.
According to oddsmakers, Kenseth is the favorite in this matchup with odds of –155 while Johnson has a money line of +125 to prevail. The GEICO 400 takes place from Chicagoland Speedway at 2:14PM ET and air on ESPN.
Matt Kenseth is fourth in the point standings, six points out of first. Kenseth has two wins this year with seven top 5’s. Kenseth is winless at Chicagoland Speedway, but he has an average finish of 11.4 at this track. Kenseth’s driver rating here is 102.4, which is fourth-best of any driver. Kenseth will start 1st on Sunday.
Jimmie Johnson is one of four drivers that is tied for fifth in the point standings. He is nine points outside of first. Johnson has just one win, but has 11 top 5’s and 17 top 10’s. Johnson is winless at this track, but has five top 5’s. His average finish at Chicagoland is 10.0, while his driver rating is 112.0, which is best of any driver in the Sprint Cup series. Johnson will start 12th on Sunday.
