Kurt Busch dominates Infineon
SONOMA, CA (TheSpread) – It was pretty clear all day that Kurt Busch has the best car in the 2011 Toyota/Save Mart 350 and in the end, he took home the checkered flag.
The race was only 110 laps, but Busch led 78 of them, dominating the end of the race to get the victory. Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards, who each never led a lap, finished second and third respectively.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog, Busch had 15/1 odds to win the race and that means a $100 wager on Busch will pay out an additional $1,500.
Marcos Ambrose, who came into the race as the clear favorite with 2/1 odds, ended up fifth on the day. Ambrose never led a lap on the day.
The win pushed Kurt Busch up for spots in the standings to fourth, while Edwards increased his lead in the point standings by 5 with his third-place finish.
