Butler’s Final Four Odds
Making their first appearance in the Final Four the Butler Bulldogs are the underdog playing for mid-major programs around the country as they seek the 2010 NCAA Championship.
The Bulldogs enter the Final Four with a 32-4 record and the Bulldogs will have the advantage of being close to home as the Final Four site of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana just a handful of miles away from the Butler campus.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL have given Butler 4/1 odds to win the Final Four. Butler has the third highest odds of the four teams competing.
Butler has won 24 straight games coming into the Final Four. The last three wins have come by single digits. The Bulldogs have not allowed 60 points from an opponent in their last six games.
The Bulldogs allow just 59.8 points per-game on the season while scoring 69.8 points on offense. Butler shoots 45 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from 3-point land, and 74 percent from the free throw line. Butler forces 13.8 turnovers per-game from its opponents while committing just 12.1 on their own.
The Bulldogs have been led by Gordon Hayward, who averages 15.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per-game. Hayward posted 22 points and nine rebounds in the win over Kansas State. Shelvin Mack posts averages of 14.2 points and 3.1 assists per-game. Matt Howard adds 11.8 points per-game while Willie Veasley adds 10.1 points per-game.
The 2010 Final Four will take place from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The semifinals will take place on Saturday while the national championship game will take place on Monday night.
