The Mountaineers are seeking their third Elite Eight appearance in school history and first showing since 2005. WVU has won its last eight games including tournament wins over

Missouri. WVU defeated the Tigers 68-59 last Sunday with the Mountaineers holding

Missouri to 32 percent shooting. Da’Sean Butler scored 28 points and eight rebounds to lead WVU while Devin Ebanks had 14 points and seven rebounds while Kevin Jones had 13 points and nine rebounds.

Washington has not reached the Elite Eight since 1953, but the Huskies are making their third Sweet Sixteen appearance since 2005.
Washington has won its last nine games, including an impressive 82-64 win over

New Mexico last Saturday. The Huskies shot 48 percent from the floor in the win and 47 percent from 3-point land while holding the Lobos to 26-of-66 shooting. Matthew Bryan-Amaning had 15 points and nine rebounds in the win while Quincy Poindexter had 18 points and Isaiah Thomas had 15 points with seven assists.

Washington has certainly done the Pac-10 proud this tournament and the Huskies look to have the athletes to contend with the Mountaineers.
