2010 March Madness West Regional Odds To Win – Syracuse Still Favored

Syracuse has looked to be the best team the West Regional has to offer and the Orange are still the team favored to head to the Final Four out of the west.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Syracuse a 4/5 favorite to win the West Regional. Other odds to win are Kansas State (8/5), Xavier (13/2), and Butler (15/2).

Syracuse is 30-4 on the season now and the No. 1 seed in the regional. The Orange won both contests this past weekend by 22 points or more. The Orange rolled past Vermont 79-56 and Gonzaga 87-65. Syracuse will face No. 5 Butler on Thursday night at 7:07PM ET.

Kansas State is the No. 2 seed in the regional and 28-7 on the year. The Wildcats have defeated North Texas 82-62 and BYU 84-72 in the tournament thus far. The Wildcats will face No. 6 Xavier on Thursday night at 9:37PM ET.

Xavier is 26-8 on the season. The Musketeers defeated Minnesota 65-54 and Pittsburgh 71-68 to reach the Sweet Sixteen of the tournament. Kansas State is next up for Xavier.

Butler is 30-4 on the year and the Bulldogs have won 22-straight games heading into Thursday’s meeting with Syracuse. The Bulldogs defeated UTEP 77-59 in the opening round and Murray State 54-52 in the second round.

The West Regional will take place from EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
