The 2010 SEC Conference Tournament begins play on Thursday and the odds are out for which team will win the championship on Sunday.

The 12-team tournament features four opening round games where East Division and West Division teams are mixed and matched. The four winners will go on to meet the four teams that finished in the top two of each division in the quarterfinals. The tournament takes place from Bridgestone Arena in

Nashville,
Tennessee.

Kentucky has been made the favorite to win the tournament.

Kentucky a 2/5 favorite to win the SEC Tournament. Other short odds to win are
Tennessee (3/1), Vanderbilt (4/1), and

Mississippi
State (13/2).

The Wildcats have won 25 SEC Tournament titles, with the last coming in 2004. The Wildcats are 29-2 overall and 14-2 in the SEC. Kentucky is ranked No. 2 in the nation and will be the No. 1 East seed in the tournament.
Kentucky lost to
South Carolina and

Tennessee this year.

Tennessee has won four SEC Tournament titles, but the last win came in 1979. The Volunteers are ranked 15^th in the polls with a 23-7 record and an 11-5 mark in the SEC. Tennessee will be the No. 3 East seed in the tournament and is the lone team to have beaten both Kentucky and Kansas this year.

Vanderbilt has won just one SEC Tournament, which came in 1951. The 20^th-ranked Commodores are 23-7 overall and 12-4 in the SEC. They will have the No. 2 East seed in the tournament. Vandy lost its regular season finale to

South Carolina, which ended a three-game winning streak.

Mississippi
State has won three SEC Tournaments, with the last coming in 2009. The Bulldogs are 21-10 overall and 9-7 in the SEC, earning the No. 1 West seed.

Mississippi
State has lost its last two games and not won more than three-straight games since the start of 2010.
